Business Controller Global Manufacturing (f/m/d):

Tissue Consumer Goods

About the Role:


Essity offers the opportunity for you to join a business where you will undertake controlling activities across the full supply chain for our Consumer Goods business.

We have a vacancy for an experienced Business Controller to join our team. You can be based in Mannheim or any other Essity location in Germany.


Reporting to the Controlling Director for Manufacturing Consumer Goods Europe you will work as part of a team responsible for monitoring and analyzing financial performance against pre-defined targets.

You will coordinate controlling activities across the value chain and analyse results closely to help the wider team propose corrective actions to address performance issues, ensuring key targets and objectives are achieved.

In this position you will gain experience within Global Manufacturing Europe, including long term financial planning, budgeting and monthly analysis of performance.

High interaction throughout the organization with various stakeholders makes this role very interesting and diversified.


What You Will Do:


  • Monitor and followup on overall performance, respective Product Supply KPI development and deviations
  • Supports financial, budget and forecasting as well as agreed price processes
  • Actively support the Site management and operations, to drive the CBN and achieve the OGSM/Financial Targets
  • Steers the month end closing processes in collaboration with the Global Manufacturing reporting department
  • Follows up of Target achievements against plans
  • Support the implementation of new financial processes, digital journey and the "EndtoEnd Customer Centric Supply Chain" approach
  • Coordinates Product Supply crossfunctional controlling processes and projects and supports potential Merger & Acquisitions and restructuring projects
  • Maintains the interface to Corporate Finance, Site Controllers, Global Business Services & GSC
  • Participates in the Controlling Network, e.g. to drive best practice within finance and controlling
  • Provides controlling support towards the site controller and local controlling teams
  • Contributes in defining & implementing reporting guidelines, instructions and content in alignment with Corporate Finance & Global Manufacturing

Who You Are:


  • A university degree or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline (preferably finance or economics)
  • A minimum of 35 years controlling experience at a similar level in a multinational business
  • Sound financial understanding and accounting know how
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • A high level of IT proficiency (financial consolidation systems, SAP, MS Office)
  • A high level of fluency in English
  • Strong team working skills with the ability to provide constructive challenge
  • Strong presentation skills combined with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A flexible and pragmatic solutions focused approach
