The international trainee program is a great opportunity to start your career in Kuehne+Nagel's Sea Logistics Reefer business.

Your Role :As trainee you will be qualified in all relevant business areas of Reefer Logistics through four modules over the course of 18 months. At least two stations abroad ensure that you gain international experience, are familiar with the services of Reefer Logistics in a holistic way and learn from our experts across the world. You will build up reefer-specific knowledge, work on challenging projects and grow your future career within Kuehne+Nagel Sea Logistics Reefer.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Gaining understanding of Reefer Operations e.g. handling of Reefer container, temperature controlled cargo and special documentation
  • Being responsible for tasks within Reefer Trade e.g. freight rate procurement, pricing and customer support
  • Getting an overview of tasks and responsibilities within Reefer Pharma, e.g. dealing with cargo shipments
  • Expanding and building knowledge within Reefer Sales and Development, e.g. preparation of quotations or annual contract negotiations

Your Skills and Experiences:


  • Basis of operational forwarding knowledge
  • First practical experience in the field of logistics/transport
  • University degree or equivalent education in logistics or business administration, preferably with a focus on traffic, transport or logistics
  • Fluent in English, other languages e.g. German or Spanish are a plus
  • Global mobility
  • Openness for new cultures and countries
