THE COMPANY:

Our client is an international commercial bank, with assets of over $20 billion. They are looking for a Money Laundering Officer for their branch in Frankfurt.


THE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • You will further develop the existing guidelines and security systems in the areas of money laundering prevention, terrorist financing and fraud prevention, thereby ensuring that internal and external requirements are met and contributing to the further development of risk analysis and the fulfillment of regulatory requirements
  • You develop control plans based on the annual risk analysis and carry out the controls independently
  • You are a competent contact for management and employees and are involved in the design of processes and control systems. They advise and support the departments and branches in the prevention of criminal acts, money laundering and terrorist financing within the meaning of the 25h KWG.
  • They analyse and document suspected cases and initiate appropriate measures. Representing the bank, you are the contact for the law enforcement authorities, the Federal Criminal Police Office (FIU), BaFin and, if applicable, the Bundesbank
  • You process the daily alerts or hits in the (PASS) AML/KYC/Embargo (financial sanctions) system and, if necessary, initiate further measures or reports
  • They accompany internal and external audits

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


  • Successfully completed university degree (law or economics) and/or commercial training as a bank clerk with appropriate further training in banking (certificates of specialist knowledge)
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of money laundering/fraud prevention, ideally at a universal bank
  • Experience with relevant money laundering schemes
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
  • Good user knowledge of MS Office products
  • Analytical, conceptual and holistic thinking skills
