Community Bank is a Department of Defense (DoD) owned bank provided by the Military Services to support authorized customer and official DoD banking needs.

The bank is operated through a contract between the DoD and a commercial financial institution. The current contractor is Bank of America, N.A.

The Defense Finance and Accounting Service, in coordination with the Military Service banking representatives, is responsible for the oversight of Community Bank.


Community Bank has over 60 banking centers and nearly 300 ATMs in Germany, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Italy, Japan and Okinawa, Korea, Diego Garcia, Guantanamo Bay, Honduras, and Kwajalein Atoll.

From our 35 European Banking Centers, we support the Military Personnel, DoD U.S. Civilian Employees and their family members while they serve overseas.

Your role:


This diverse role will provide you the opportunity to work in all areas of Human Resources (HR), from posting a vacant position to drawing up an employment contract, ensure new employees are on-boarded properly and feel welcome to providing input for the monthly payroll, learning about our HR processes in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, to involving the works council where it is legally required to ensure we all work in the interest of our company, our employees and share the same information.


For a selected group of employees and their managers you will be the first point of contact in all HR matters and handle all issues in a professional and customer-oriented way.


  • Apart from the daily HR work, this role also offers the opportunity to initiate or participate in HR projects as we continuously strive to improve our service and our processes, keeping uptodate with the current environment and the challenges ahead.

**What you will bring:

Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration (or similar) preferably with the elective Human Resources Management/Labor Law or Law Studies preferably with the elective Labor Law
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (written and oral)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Selfmotivation for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high degree of precision and attention to detail
**Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of German labor law desirable; knowledge of Italian or UK employment law
  • Prior HR and/or project management experience
  • Italian language skills

You will be part of a great HR team where everyone is willing to help and go above and beyond for each other and our internal customers.

Your workplace will be at our District Office in Wiesbaden (Mainz-Kastel) and may include (day-) travel to the banking centers from time to time.

We do not offer working from home.
