Who we are:


pv magazine publishes
monthly and quarterly magazines in English and German and
operates daily industry news channels covering specific markets (Global, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, USA, Brazil, Mexico, LatAm, China, Australia, and India).

We report on developments in the
global solar PV and energy storage industries, on solar-related
green hydrogen generation and heating systems (heat pumps), and
regional solar PV and storage markets.

Articles include among other
new products and technologies, new
policy developments, and
markets.

pv magazine also has an established and successful
international hybrid and virtual events portfolio to deep-dive into key industry topics.


We are looking for:


The
News Editor - Technical Writer (part-time or full-time) will work with the international pv magazine editorial team in reporting on the PV industry's markets and technologies
on the pv magazine online news channel and daily newsletter.

The topics will be mostly related to
new products, scientific papers, novel solar and renewable energy technologies, and startups.


Your responsibilities:

-
Write technical articles and news for
pv magazine online platforms in
a proactive manner, meeting the needs of both a specialist and more mainstream readership
-
Research and
identify potential topics from the solar and renewable energy industry
-
Copyedit and
review articles and news provided by other editorial team members

  • Close collaboration with colleagues in Sales, Marketing and Events

Your profile:


  • Working experience in
    technical writing:
  • Writing clear and technically correct
    English with strong command of grammar, spelling, and style.
    Other languages (particularly German, Spanish and French) will be viewed favorably, including basic translation skills
  • Knowledge of renewable energy, and specifically the solar
    PV industry, is a strong advantage
  • A good ability to understand complex technical concepts and convey information to
    a wider readership, including technical specialists, as well as to the general public
  • Solid
    storytelling and editing skills
