We are currently looking for a highly qualified and dynamic individual to take on the role of Senior General Manager - Operations & Business Development Germany and our subsidiaries in CEE.
As the Senior General Manager, you will have a leadership role and be responsible for supervising a highly skilled team of leaders.
Furthermore, you will be in charge of leading operational excellence projects and business development efforts and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams on ensure operational excellence and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in the EMEA region overall.
You will play a key role in leading and motivating a diverse team, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve operational excellence and consistently deliver exceptional customer service.
Your role will also involve efficient management and optimization of operational resources, which includes budget management, forecasting, and effective cost control measures.
Moreover, you will be actively involved in driving business development initiatives, with a keen focus on identifying new market opportunities and establishing potential partnerships that contribute to the growth and success of the company.
Additionally, your responsibilities will encompass ensuring compliance with all relevant local regulations, industry standards, and company policies, thereby maintaining high ethical standards in all business dealings.
As a skilled professional, your role will involve effectively coordination and management of the Sales, Product and Operational functions of the companyWith your excellent leadership abilities, you will take charge of overseeing and guiding your teams in achieving significant business growth and maintaining strong relationships with key clients
Collaborating with cross-functional and cross-country teams to drive operational efficiency and process improvement through effective communication, coordination, and teamwork.
Proven experience in a senior management role within the logistics industry, with a track record of driving business growth and operational excellence incl.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate decentralized teams within GermanyExperience (10 years +) in the logistics or transportation industry is required with a solid knowledge of the global air- and seafreight business
Strong financial and KPI mindset, with the ability to manage budgets and analyze financial and operational data
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both, German and English
Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives
Knowledge of local (German) regulations and industry standards
Fluency in German and English is required
