Building on our success in winning the largest single-company government quantum contract to date, we are looking to hire our first full-time business development team member.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Secure transformative (e.g. multimillion) quantum computing contracts with relevant global institutions and governments
  • Set the strategy with regards to public and private sector partnerships
  • Lay the foundation of best practices in partnering and contracts
  • Build up rapport, nurturing and educating potential customers and buildup a network
  • Branch out as needed into other areas of the commercial team, including public speaking and marketing

Requirements:


  • Experience winning technical contracts from toptier institutions
  • Intellectually curious enough to learn quantum computing
  • Able to connect with diverse types of people, both internally and externally

Must-have Skills

  • Strong values fit (e.g. ambitious yet humble, confident yet patient)
  • 10+ years of winning (e.g. government or other relevant) contracts for technical companies
  • Deep experience & understanding of tender side contracting
  • Demonstrated relationship builder
  • Expert and trusted communicator (with ability to make the complex accessible)
  • Experience delivering presentations at all levels of a customer's organization including technical leaders and senior executives.
  • Ability to represent Universal Quantum in multiple venues, including conferences
  • Ability to engage commercial & industrial partners in addition to government
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment (such as a quantum computer deeptech startup, for example)

Nice-to-have Skills

  • BS or Masters in engineering, or physical sciences
  • Public speaking experience and interest desired
