About the Role

Main activities:

Curate, coach and develop a passionate team of claims and underwriting professionals
Be a strong sparring partner and collaborate with client markets, pricing actuarial, CUO leaders and in crossfunctional teams.
Represent Swiss Re at client meetings and in the wider L&H insurance industry, showcasing your thought leadership and expertise on underwriting and claims topics
Oversee the delivery of underwriting and claims solutions and services to our clients
Develop and execute the vision for the future of claims and underwriting, including but not limited to leveraging use of existing and prospective tools and technology
Create opportunities to develop and strengthen client relationships and industry collaborations for technical and product solutions
Ensuring and monitoring underwriting and claims quality and skills across markets
Drive and lead the community in the understanding of claims & underwriting hot topics and their impact on Continental European L&H reinsurance business.
Be a proactive and influential member of the L&H CE leadership team.
Ownership over the frameworks to provide approval of expert signoffs for underwriting and claims decisions successfully to win and retain profitable and appropriately underwritten business, and meet our claims commitments.
Lead adhoc projects and make a difference in L&H Re.

You have a deep understanding of the Life & Health business and are familiar with several Continental European Markets.
You are a person with views and opinions. You challenge the status quo but most importantly you are comfortable in doing something about it, this might also involve exploring unconventional ideas or new ways.
You are an effective communicator, fluent English is required. Additional European languages advantageous.
