Duties:


Incumbent is assigned to the Human Resources Section and provides assistance and coordination with the following programs: EER/ePerformance, EPR, EFM Employment, and other administrative duties in the HR section.

They also provide administrative and clerical services to State Department offices throughout the Consulate requiring short-notice/-term support or special projects assistance.

Incumbent may be assigned to projects on a flexible schedule (intermittent, part-time or full-time) dependent on the needs of the office/section to which assigned.

The jobholder must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance, which is needed for initiating security clearance cases in e-QIP and providing security escorting in CAA.

Is supervised by the HR EFM Employment Coordinator and receives work direction for the HR Administrative Assistant.


Qualifications and Evaluations:


  • Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:

Requires a minimum of one year of experience in business or office work environment, which involves the use of regulatory materials.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • Basic knowledge of general office duties and office equipment is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulations governing control and protection of classified material set out in 12 FAM, as well as postspecific security access procedures is required.
  • Education Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma.

LANGUAGE:
Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading English is required. (This may be tested)


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of personnel is required.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with the MS Office suite programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the intranet and internet is required.
  • Must be able to independently draft correspondence with little to no editing. (This may be tested)
  • Basic typing skills (40 wpm) are required. (This may be tested)
