We are a research, development, and production site in Bremen currently, with about 500 employees, whose "high -end" measurement and analysis instruments (mass spectrometers) are used in research and science worldwide.

Our innovative products in the fields of Life Sciences MS and Inorganic MS, as well as Trace Elemental Analysis, are among the leading products globally in their respective markets.

To strengthen our agile life science team, we are looking for a motivated scientist with professional experience and the ability to act confidently in a demanding project environment.


A day in the Life:


You will participate in the development of new products as part of a team including technical management of smaller projects.

Independent development of subsystems.


Keys to Success:


Task

  • Reviews and corrects experimental data and experimental plans
  • Designs, plans, and conducts laboratory experiments
  • Troubleshoots complex subsystem malfunctions and initiates corrective action (including serial production)
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining documents as part of the product development process.
  • Independently research intellectual property (IP)
  • Assist in drafting invention disclosures, patents, publications, and presentations
  • Present complex issues to various functional areas, within similar product lines and business units
  • Present scientific results to supervisors and management.
  • Actively collaborates with internal and external business partners
  • Regularly interacts with customers
  • Actively represents the division in interdepartmental projects
  • Directly responsible for the success of the program plan by contributing ontime
- deliverables

  • Provide technical guidance to engineering, software, operations,... colleagues within R&D projects
  • Onboard new employees
  • Possible technical leadership of small projects or subprojects
  • Define detailed technical specifications for small projects as appropriate.

Education

  • University degree with approximately 5 years of relevant work experience

Experience

  • Strong knowledge of scientific principles and concepts

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficient in German and English
