Job Purpose and Impact:


The Global Partner Innovation Leader (GPIL) and the Global Partner leaders in Cargill will create a company wide, global, strategic and future focused partnership with one of Cargill's Global Partners (Key Customers), and one of the largest food service business in the world.


In this role, you will cultivate the relationships with this key customer's decision makers while influencing internal stakeholders to create a differentiated experience and improve top line growth.

You will bring the customer's voice to Cargill, and leverage your expert knowledge and understanding of customer's system to differentiate the organization's offerings and services.

You will develop innovation pipeline to grow business for the future through focusing on strategic needs, opportunity spaces, and growth, specifically, what we could create together that we each cannot do on our own.


You will leverage an understanding of customer's needs to partner with Cargill internal resources as well as the customer's to influence, inform and support the development and implementation of long-term innovation strategy with strong execution ability.


This role will interface with the R&D regional teams, technical services, commercial and menu teams around the globe in Cargill to gather insights, articulate problems, deploy solutions and proactively drive transformational innovation for the customer.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Lead business development and transformational innovation portfolio development and execution to drive new growth that is synergistic and outside of current Cargill enterprise initiatives.
  • Build impactful relationships with the innovation partners at the customer and navigate thru ambiguity to bring innovative concepts and approaches to the customer
  • Drive a focused customer strategy with a longterm view on relationships and opportunities and create global customer innovation action plans and metrics at the intersection of Cargill and the customer
  • Lead thru influencing the global technical team across Cargill and ensure strong internal global collaborations to deliver maximum longterm innovation strategic value for the customer, and to inspire others by articulating the positive impact the organization can make.
  • Build a mid
- to long
- term strategic thought leadership and bold system thinking, and develop a global, cross Cargill project pipeline, tapping into solutions across the organization and leveraging a full view of the breadth of products and services being delivered to the customer; actively explore traditional and nontraditional levers of value creation

  • Create and implement work processes that forge highly productive working relationships with the customer and executive stakeholders, gaining a clear understanding of the needs and delivering superior service and customer satisfaction in line with organizational costs.
  • Provide expert consultative guidance for initiating strategic longrange goals and objectives. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in science or businessrelated field or equivalent experience
  • Confirmed success in collaborative product development and rollout with customers
  • Proven customer back approach to innovative products and services
  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience
  • Proven experience influencing people that are not direct reports
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet the requirements of the role (may exceed 50% depending on location)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in science or businessrelated field
  • Experience working for a global, matrixed organization
  • Working experience and demonstrated success with commercial and marketing teams to drive and create future oriented transformation innovation
  • Experience leading complex projects requiring collaboration across functions to achieve commercial success
  • Connected to industry contacts outside of Cargill and the foodservice industry including academia, professional organizations, supplier networks, etc
