Job Summary


As part of our environmental compliance management solutions, the ECM team supports our national and international customers in fulfilling their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Key areas are WEEE, batteries, packaging, copyright, oil, tyres and end-of-life vehicles.

We are currently looking for a new member of the ECM team in the role of:


Environmental Compliance Specialist -(M/F/d)

Your key responsibilities:


  • You are the internal authority on issues related to General Producer Responsibility for electrical and electronic equipment, batteries, packaging and copyright in Europe and worldwide.
  • You understand the legal obligation situation of our major customers, develop optimal discharge scenarios and implement them together with our team of experts. You are the direct contact person for our customers on legal issues.
  • You carry out analyses of laws, markets and competition in Europe and worldwide in order to keep our knowhow up to date.
  • You maintain contact with regional legislative bodies and authorities that are decisive for the implementation of the abovementioned legal requirements.
  • You maintain contact with the takeback systems that take over and handle the legal manufacturer obligations.
  • You communicate your countryspecific knowledge to clients and interested stakeholders via our LinkedIn channel, newsletters and regular webinars, among others.
  • You are the internal contact person for the data management and reporting team regarding the implementation of legal requirements for WEEE, batteries and packaging.
  • Together with the whole team, you will further develop our service portfolio to strengthen RLG's position as a onestopshop for EPR compliance.

Your profile:


  • You have a degree, ideally in a field related to sustainability, environmental law/policy, circular economy or waste management.
  • Professional experience in consulting or a comparable activity is desirable.
  • You have analytical skills, are flexible, able to work under pressure and assertive
  • You are characterised by a high degree of initiative, accuracy and a sense of responsibility.
  • Customerfocused thinking and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Strong language skills in English and French.
