In order to support the Eurofighter Flight Control Joint Team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Project Controller within Technical Project Management of the Eurofighter Flight Control Joint Team (d/f/m)


The Eurofighter Flight Control Joint Team (FJT) is a 4-national Team, which is the responsible SDR for the Flight Control System of the Eurofighter.

The FJT Monitoring & Controlling Technical Project Manager (MCTPM) is supporting the Monitoring & Controlling of the financial performance, provide monthly reports and lead status Meetings to maximize the team performance and ensure the work is executed within the given constraints i.e.

as per the established time, scope, budget baseline.

Reports to the FCS Project Control Discipline Leader and the Technical Project Management Section Leader, and acts transversely across the FJT organization to ensure project integration among the FJT sections and disciplines.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- to maintain the overall project plan (scope, schedule, budget)
- to monitor the project performance, measure scope/schedule/budget variance
- to monitor & control the financial Performance, provide monthly reports and lead Status meetings
- to support the EAC process and update of cost/scope/schedule baselines
- to liase with financial Controlling and ensure synchronization of MS-Project plans with SAP
- to perform Milestone tracking, provide Support to Line Managers and Technical Project Managers
- to coordinate with the Technical Project Managers and ensure schedule integration
- to perform resource Management, OP planning, provide monthly reports and lead Status meetings
- to perform bid Support activities e.g. RfQ estimation, etc.
- to manage changes to the baselines via the FJT CCB
- to perform risks and opportunities management
- to support National Price investigations
- to manage knowledge and improvements of the TPM section
- to maintain the Project Management Tools and techniques

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Master Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in Project Management (incl. Estimation, planning and effective project execution, and Monitor and actively address any variance from the project baseline)
  • Knowledge of the Eurofighter project desirable but not necessary
  • Effective communication in a 4national, English speaking environment
  • Language: English and German at negotiation level (German needed for Price audits with the customer)
  • Effective Negotiation and managing conflicts
  • Effective Estimation, planning and effective project execution
  • Competence in the project management tools and processes (PMI certification as well as MS-Project desirable but not necessary)
  • Business trips: rarely but possible especially within Europe

  • Helpful but not mandatory:

  • Competence in the project management tools and processes e.g. Earned Value Management, Scope Management, Scheduling, Risks & Opportunities Management (PMI certification as well as MS-Project desirable but not necessary)
  • Estimation, planning and effective project execution
  • Monitor and actively address any variance from the project baseline
