The Mission:

Join us in empowering better decisions for climate resilience with continuous thermal data from space.

What you'll be doing:

Leverage expertise in geospatial data storytelling and remote sensing to analyze and communicate complex datasets, data products and datadriven insights in a compelling narrative format.
Collaborate with Business Development, Product, Sales, Marketing and Data Science to understand product objectives and translate data insights and business value into engaging and impactful narratives.
Employ effective storytelling techniques, including datadriven narratives, visual metaphors, and interactive elements, to enhance the audience's understanding and engagement.
Present geospatial data stories to stakeholders, clients, and team members in a compelling and persuasive manner.
Develop visually compelling and interactive geospatial data visualizations using Python, ArcGis Storymaps, Figma or else.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in geospatial data visualization techniques and tools.

Relevant skills:

Relevant Technical Skills:

35 years of experience as a visual designer, geo data analyst, or similar.
Proficiency in geospatial data analysis and interpretation.
Experience working with remote sensing data.
Expertise in geospatial data visualization tools and software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Python libraries like matplotlib and seaborn).
Understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling in a geospatial context.
Familiarity with remote sensing data formats (e.g., GeoTIFF, NetCDF).
Familiarity with common video, photo, and vector editing tools.

Relevant Soft Skills:

Excellent storytelling and narrative development skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to translate complex data into understandable and engaging stories.
Creativity and imagination in designing compelling data visualizations.
Critical thinking and analytical skills for data analysis and interpretation.
Collaboration and teamwork to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
