Postdoc (f/m/d) / Scientific Assistant (f/m/d) Biology/Biotechnology with focus on molecular upcycling of polymers

  • With cuttingedge research in the fields of ENERGY, HEALTH and MATTER, around 1,500 employees from more than 70 nations at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) are committed to mastering the great challenges facing society today.


At the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology (HIF), innovative technologies for the circular economy are developed to provide and use mineral and metal-bearing raw materials more efficiently and to recycle them in an environmentally friendly way.

Your tasks
- # Development of PU additive and polymer selective peptides
Development of a microplastic and nanoplastic detection assay
Upscaling of PU degradation / feed bioenergy plant
AI-LCA of plastic fragments


Profile:

- # Completed university studies (PhD) in the field of Biology/Biotechnology or related field
Relevant professional experience (3-5 years) in the specified area
Experiences in Molecular biology - with Phage surface display technology
Knowledge in Bioinformatic analysis and Bioprocessengineering

Optional:
Experiences in machine learning and LCA
Ability to work in a team and very good written and spoken English skills
