We are looking for a highly motivated Cyber Underwriter to join our Cyber Direct team based in Munich, who is keen to develop our Cyber book in the European and Rest of the World markets in a sustainable and profitable way and shape the Cyber insurance market together with a diverse, international team.

YOUR JOB

Acquire and underwrite cyber and technology insurance risks for large industrial and corporate clients, spanning all tasks associated with risk and coverage analysis, pricing and contract negotiations in line with Munich Re guidelines
Actively participate in client and marketwide cyber meetings, discussing and evaluating clients' individual cyber exposure
Develop a portfolio of profitable cyber related business, exploiting new business opportunities through active management of broker and client relationships
Closely collaborate with other F&C Cyber teams in London and the US to maintain one global F&C Cyber strategy and allow for a consistent approach to all markets
Participate in challenging global projects with other Cyber teams and central interfaces
Promote F&C/Munich Re's capabilities in the area of Cyber in client and broker meetings, conferences and market events and establish Munich Re as a predictable, responsible and knowledgeable partner
Monitor Cyber threats and market developments and feed these back into our strategy

YOUR PROFILE

University degree in IT Security or Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Law, or equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience
Excellent understanding of Cyber security, Cyber risk management and mitigation
Indepth understanding of insurance concepts, ideally several years of experience in underwriting Cyber risks
Ability to build and maintain relationships with large corporate clients, brokers and internal stakeholders
Strong customer focus and excellent communication and negotiation skills
High level of commitment and ability to work under pressure
High degree of selfmotivation, drive and willingness to learn
Strong team player with excellent networking and intercultural skills
Openminded, solutionoriented and structured work approach
Fluent command of written and spoken German and English, additional languages are a plus (ideally French)
Willingness to travel
