Your mission:

Translate complex algorithms and computational tasks into efficient optical systems, leveraging the unique advantages of photonics for enhanced performance, power efficiency and scalability
Develop and implement systemlevel simulations to evaluate performance metrics and optimize system design
Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including physicists, engineers, and product managers to define system requirements and specifications
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in photonic computing, analog computing and AI research to inform technology roadmap and product development strategies

Your profile:

Must-have

PhD in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of industry or postdoc experience
Strong background in photonic computing with a proven track record of translating algorithms into optical systems with demonstrable advantages
Proficiency in simulation tools such as Python, MATLAB or equivalent for systemlevel modeling and performance analysis
Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to adjust to the quickly evolving technologies and methods in the field of photonic computing, coupled with a strong desire to advance professionally and learn new things in a fastpaced, creative work environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders

Nice-to-have

Experience in designing and implementing photonic neural network architectures
Familiarity with emerging trends in photonics, such as lithium niobate photonics and photonic integrated circuits
Prior experience with commercial product development and technology transfer processes
Experience leading projects using both agile or traditional methods, managing crossdisciplinary team collaborations to achieve project milestones and deliverables
