Your mission:


  • Translate complex algorithms and computational tasks into efficient optical systems, leveraging the unique advantages of photonics for enhanced performance, power efficiency and scalability
  • Develop and implement systemlevel simulations to evaluate performance metrics and optimize system design
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including physicists, engineers, and product managers to define system requirements and specifications
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in photonic computing, analog computing and AI research to inform technology roadmap and product development strategies

Your profile:


Must-have

  • PhD in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of industry or postdoc experience
  • Strong background in photonic computing with a proven track record of translating algorithms into optical systems with demonstrable advantages
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as Python, MATLAB or equivalent for systemlevel modeling and performance analysis
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to adjust to the quickly evolving technologies and methods in the field of photonic computing, coupled with a strong desire to advance professionally and learn new things in a fastpaced, creative work environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in designing and implementing photonic neural network architectures
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in photonics, such as lithium niobate photonics and photonic integrated circuits
  • Prior experience with commercial product development and technology transfer processes
  • Experience leading projects using both agile or traditional methods, managing crossdisciplinary team collaborations to achieve project milestones and deliverables
