POSITION OVERVIEW


A great opportunity has recently opened for a talented
Financial Accountant to join our Maintal, Germany office, who enjoys working within a fast-paced, international environment where they can help build and shape our accounting landscape (particularly in light of internationalization).

As the Financial Accountant you will be a part of a dynamic and international team.

In this role you will be mainly responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

general accounting activities, such as: bookkeeping for separate legal entities (nationally and internationally); monthly/quarterly closing; preparation of consolidated financial statements according to US GAAP and HGB; accounting relevant analyses and reconciliations; and supporting the coordination of financial audits.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger Accounting
  • Reconciling and managing the deferred revenue from the accounting perspective
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX Controls
  • Work closely with the regional teams in Europe as well as with the international team located in Ottawa, Canada
  • Assistance in all tax related matters
  • Supporting all audit processes (SOX, Year End and Tax)
  • Assistance for Financial Analysis and Budget Preparation

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • At least 5 years' experience within a similar role, combined with Business studies focusing on accounting, controlling, finance, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in handling tax topics (e.g. tax declarations, Intrastat, cross border VAT)
  • Experience with accounts receivable (e.g. revenue and expense accounting)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with fluency in both English and German is essential
  • Proactive, selfmotivated and detail oriented
  • Ownership and solutionoriented mindset
  • Open to learn and handle new ERP Systems
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Salesforce would be a plus
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, persuasion and presentation) with a demonstrated ability to present to all levels in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, fastpaced setting
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle stress personally and professionally
  • Ability to develop and maintain a network of professional contacts in the territory
  • Proven ability to learn new technology to design and sell technological solutions
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Willing and able to travel extensively
