Description:

Due to the rising complexity of future scenarios a higher / (increasing the) autonomy level of systems will be one of the key capabilities in future aircrafts.

The TEYXS technology team investigates and develops technologies for cross platform capabilities. To mature and demonstrate these technologies a bunch of small rovers and hexacopters were procured.

With the challenge of maneuvering in GPS-denied areas, we are investigating localization options using passive sensors such as cameras to extract maximum possible value from any sensor data.

The goal is to derive an absolute 6D pose of the UAV to process any collected sensor data. In addition to that, options for relative pose estimation between multiple UAVs should be explored.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Familiarization with the existing "AutonomyLab" environment
Preparation of existing documents and system engineering artefacts
Research on system engineering processes for prototyping environments
Creation of a concept for dealing with system engineering tasks in prototyping environments, especially in the AutonomyLab
Introduction of the concept in the AutonomyLab
Creation of training materials for current and future employees
Training of current employees

Desired skills and qualifications:

Enrolled full Time student (d/f/m) within Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study
High proficiency working with:
Good knowledge of system engineering processes
Knowledge of agile development methods
Ability to become familiar with an existing system and draw conclusions on how to improve it
Team player
Good English & German language skills
