Main purpose of the job:


The Head of Product - Retail is responsible for leading the product team, defining the vision, strategy and roadmaps for the Retail product & services anticipating changing market, client and organizational needs.

This role requires close partnership with technology and engineering as well as strategy and other functions to achieve sustainable steps to effectively develop and deliver impactful products.


The Head of Product should have a proven ability to build and maintain trusted stakeholder relationships, liaise with and collaborate with cross-functional peers to prioritize and deliver quality solutions with measurable results.

The role will work with both internal and external business constituents to determine the future direction of products in alignment with the technology strategy and capabilities offered.


The Head of Product should work closely with the MD of the Retail portfolio with significant focus on the shifting the Retail landscape towards a broader digitally connected, optimal customer experience and journey.

To maintain leadership in digital retail and grow in Europe, we must address industry trends, increasing digital adoption, and the evolving needs of our customers.

The Retail product team is circa. 15 people at present but this figure is likely to fluctuate over time in-sync with business strategy. The product group have indirect responsibility for prioritising engineering work into a team of ~150 including Codeweavers.


Skills:


  • Preferred experience in automotive, marketing, retail, finance or technology industries
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C environments
  • Exceptional experience developing and bringing to market software products and solutions
  • Strong organisational skills and timemanagement
  • Clear ability to successfully collaborate with and influence senior executives
  • Highly analytical, with a desire to tackle difficult challenges to deliver appropriate client solutions
  • Proven success in product development, including successful product launches
  • Proven skills to develop, communicate, and execute innovative and successful product strategies and initiatives
  • Experience developing and managing product pricing strategies
  • Experience negotiating commercial contracts
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Follower of product development methodologies, especially Agile, Lean, Directed Discovery and Design Thinking
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities
  • Ability to build and maintain positive rapport with customers, team members, stakeholders at all levels, and across different locations
  • Excellent judgment and discretion
