Operational Excellence Leader, BWP Hamburg

The Operational Excellence Leader will play a critical role in transforming the operating model from a custom machinery equipment builder to serial production of a proven, new product line.

The Leader will also expand implementation of Operational Excellence process, systems and tools across the site.

Job Description:

They will:

Analyze complex business issues and turn vision and strategy into practical, actionable and quantifiable plans
Successfully lead strategic improvement projects which result in significant, measurable business impact
Possess a strong financial acumen, able to collect and analyze data related to complex Strategic Operational Excellence initiatives with a full understanding of P/L impact.
Use effective problemsolving skills to provide clear, concise solutions to business needs
Identify and lead crossfunctional continuous improvement initiatives using data to target and drive cost, quality, delivery and lead time improvements.
Serve as the sites foremost expert on Operational Excellence processes, systems and tools
Have worked within a strong continuous improvement culture and operating system framework
Champion change management, process development, operational excellence and cross functional collaboration to achieve optimized performance across the operation
Drive accountability for both operational targets and business results
Drive customer trust and business sustainability
Have a passionate desire to expand Barry-Wehmiller's Truly Human Leadership model through the use of continuous improvement

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field
10 or more years implementing Operational Excellence initiatives and Continuous Improvement methodologies

Exposure:

This role will have broad exposure, including work with the BW Papersystems Executive Leadership Team, Corporate Operational Excellence Team, Senior Site Leadership Team, Team Leaders, and Group Leaders.
