Our "Planning & Forecasting" team at Group Controlling of E.ON SE in Essen looks at the financial future of the E.ON Group.

We steer our mid-term planning, budgeting, forecasting and capital allocation activities.

As part of the Financial Controlling, we are the Financial Compass of the E.ON Group tell the internal financial story of the Group.

Areas of your responsibility:


As part of our performance-oriented and highly motivated team you will work independently on challenging tasks with far-reaching implications for the strategic positioning and financial development of E.ON.

With us, you will drive the financial steering process, systems and concepts.


This includes:

  • Perform, govern and continuous improve E.ON's groupwide process and methods for financial planning, forecasting, target setting and capital allocation in close cooperation with the operational units and central functions of the E.ON Group
  • Analyze the financial performance of the E.ON Group to enable an effective performance dialogue and give impulses for E.ONs financial agenda
  • Model and analyse strategic plan scenarios from a financial perspective
  • Analyse and challenge of financial business plans and investment proposals, not just from an internal perspective against the background of our financial framework and strategy but also with the mindset of a financial investor in the light of market and competitor development
  • Derive and evaluate recommendations for action and preparation of strategic and operational decision proposals for the E.ON Management
  • Be the tnterface to various headquarters finance functions (e.g. Investor Relations, Business Controlling) and work in crossfunctional groupwide finance projects
  • Develop smart digital solutions and advancing digitalisation of our processes and products

A convincing background:


  • Excellent university degree economics or equivalent and relevant professional experience
  • Profound knowledge of KPIs for financial steering (especially P&L, Cashflow, Balance-Sheet, controlling processes and methods, Accounting/valuation expertise a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Strong sense of responsibility, "cando" mentality and results orientation
  • Challenging, pragmatic and open mindset with courage to question existing approaches and break new ground
  • Team player with the ability to build networks
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to to explain complex topics in a simplified manner
  • A high level of commitment, selfmotivation and personal drive combined with high willingness to constantly learn and develop
  • High IT affinity and experience in the digitalisation of processes and products (e.g. Dashboarding) and in using planning tools & visualisation solutions
  • Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English, German is an advantage
