Our requirements

  • A scientific university degree (Master) in a related field, for example Psychology or Neuroscience
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English
  • Coding experience, preferably with Matlab, Python and/or R
  • Intrinsic motivation, initiative, and an ability to work independently
  • Expertise with the preprocessing and analysis of neuroscientific data, e.g. fMRI and eye tracking, is desirable
  • Expertise with computational modelling, e.g. with hierarchical probabilistic models, is desirable

  • In the NEVIA lab (PI: Prof. Dr. Cristine Falter-Wagner), we are investigating cognition and social interaction in clinical populations, for example in people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. In our projects, we use neuroscientific and psychophysiological methods, automatic extraction of speech and motion features from audio and video recordings as well as machine learning to classify behaviour.
  • We are looking for a research assistant to join our EMOPRED project led by Dr. Irene Sophia Plank. The EMOPRED project is exploring emotion recognition in people with and without neurodevelopmental disorders using neuroscientific methods (fMRI, eye tracking) and probabilistic models to investigate processes of the Bayesian Brain.
  • Remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector of the Länder (TV-L) including all allowances customary in the public sector.
