Scope of duties

Within the Musculoskeletal Research Laboratory (Chair Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Böcker/Prof. Dr. Boris Holzapfel) we are looking for a PostDoc with focus on various musculoskeletal disease models ranging from cell lines and patient-derived stem cells to mouse models. We seek to establish cell

Our requirements

We are looking for a dedicated, team-oriented and self-starter with experience in musculoskeletal biology. Your scientific qualifications should be a PhD in Bioengineering / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology or related fields including good publication record, experience in mammalian cell cultivation, genetic and/or protein engineering, experience in analytical techniques (e.g. Fluorescence microscopy, Immunostaining, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, etc.). Previous experience with immunotherapies and knowledge of genome editing technologies is an advantage.

  • We offer development opportunities within our team. The position is initially limited to two years and should begin as soon as possible. The research complex includes highly equipped biotechnology laboratories with facilities for biomechanical testing, cell cultivation and analysis and access to biomolecular equipment (incl. microCT, confocal microscope).   • Remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector of the Länder (TV-L) including all allowances customary in the public sector.
