Our Team:


We are seeking a Bench Scientist in Biomarkers & Clinical Bioanalysi to join our Biomarkers & Clinical Bioanalysis (BCB) global department within the Translational Medicine and Early Development unit of Sanofi.

The position will be located in Frankfurt, Germany and will contribute to international project teams to jointly develop and implement these teams' biomarker strategy under GCLP regulations.


Main responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement complex protein
- and cell-based biomarker assays and measure preclinical, translational, and clinical study samples.

  • Establish primary human immune cell culture assays and assess the specificity and functionality of leukocyte subpopulations by multicolor flow cytometry.
  • Analyze and interpret biomarker assay and multicolor flow cytometry data.
  • Introduce novel advanced cell culture and flow cytometry techniques.
  • Participate in project teams to support biomarker projects in the area of immunology and autoimmunity.
  • Author and review clinical method / study plans and reports.
  • Contribute to biomarker plans for clinical project phases and to measurement of clinical study samples.
  • Provide management and scientific support to train lab members.

_ About you _

Education and professional Experience

  • PhD in life sciences (immunology, biology, biochemistry, cell biology).
  • Strong scientific background in immunology and pharmacology with deep knowledge in T cell biology, cytokine biology and translational biomarkers.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • Knowledge in requirements of regulatory authorities and Good (Clinical) Laboratory Practice and the associated QA framework appreciated.

Soft skills

  • Leadership skills and the ability to integrate into international multifunctional team of scientists.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Result oriented and wellorganized team player in an agile environment.

Technical skills

  • Expert in operating flow cytometers, ideally Cytek Aurora and BD LSR Fortessa.
  • Profound expertise in usage of FCS-Express and FlowJo.
  • Solid handson experience in the isolation and culture of primary human immune cells, flow cytometry and common immunology / cell biology techniques.
  • Basic knowledge in laboratory information and management systems (e.g. Watson, Benchling).

Languages

  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken).
