ABOUT THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a
Venture Associate to join our Munich health team that can find the most exciting startups.

You are responsible for evaluating these startups, discovering respective business opportunities, and introducing those to selected corporate firms in our network.

This results in proof-of-concepts, commercial agreements, and investments.

You will be part of the Plug and Play team - a dynamic team of ambitious experts that is highly motivated to create impact.

Identify business development, licensing and strategic investment opportunities for corporate members within the Plug and Play ecosystem.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
As Venture Associate no one day will be the same:

Constant analysis of the startup ecosystems and research on the latest industry trends to create respective reports, market maps and strategy recommendations
Your heart beats for healthcare, you have healthcare, pharma, med tech, life science experience and are passionate about digital healthcaree
Evaluation of startups within and beyond the insurance industry for collaboration and investment purposes
Provide event production and logístical support for demo days, mentor sessions and other events as part of the accelerator.
Collaborate with corporate executives in deal flow sessions several times per week
Analyze startup team strengths, market size, technology and business model
Endtoend responsibility, from trend identification, over startups evaluation to structuring a proofofconcept together with Plug and Play's corporate clients.
Stakeholder Management: You need to align the interests of Plug and Play's client, challenge them, and work with champion of the corporate client to create synergies
Project Management ability to manage several projects with VC partners and startups
Self-Starter ability to start projects or plan events with mínimal to no supervision
Work with international clients on a global scale
Focus on the insurance industry with frequent overlaps in other industries like mobility, health, supply chain and more.

ABOUT YOU:

You hold a Master's degree or higher in the field of business, science, or engineering with outstanding academic results
You enjoy work with clients and support clients with their innovation needs
You have 3+ years experience in an innovation consulting firm, a top strategy consulting firm, or venture capital fund
You have extensive knowledge of venture capital and startup evaluation
If you have additional experience in lean startup and agile methodologies, that's a plus
You have demonstrated strong analytical and creative problemsolving skills
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, prospects and industry contacts and contribute highimpact results.
You are not afraid to get your hands dirty, have entrepreneurial grit, and you are passionate about startups
Detail oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in public speaking, proactive attitude client orientated understanding
Fluent in English language
You are available fulltime (parttime or freelance is not possible)
