Job Description


For the support of our EURAM-Commercial team we are currently searching for a motivated and technical experienced Meat Quality and Traceability Specialist (m/w/d), permanent and full-time.

The role is 100% remote.


The Meat Quality and Traceability Specialist (m/w/d) is responsible for supporting and developing our current customers programs and services plus the detailed implementation of newly introduced customer projects.

This involves working with our customers; farming organizations, industry bodies, abattoirs, food processing facilities, and retailers. It also requires regular communication with our commercial, laboratory operations and data analytics team. It is a dynamic role requiring excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and attention to detail.


Our Veterinary team use their scientific background to provide technical expertise and education to our customers, sales and marketing teams.

With a deep knowledge of pharmacology and animal health we engage scientific exchange with external experts and industry leaders ensuring the scientific value of our animal health portfolio is understood.


Role and Responsibilities:


Manage the day-to-day technical activities involved in maintaining current programs /services and be the key player in the operational set up/delivery of new projects/services.

Ensure new projects/services are delivered to the agreed/expected standard and timescales, reporting on progress.

Develop excellent working relationships with customer/supply chain stakeholders.

Ensure troubleshooting and training requirements at customer/supply chain level are met.


Co-ordinate with the Data Labs operational teams to ensure program deliverables and expectations are met on a timely basis and act as liaison between the operational teams and the program/project stakeholders in the supply chain.

Ensure projects/services are delivered within the Quality Assurance framework.

Communicate and discuss with the Commercial team identified commercial opportunities within existing and new customers within the region.

Provide and evaluate results trend analyses for existing programs / services and provide an action plan

Provide regular progress reports to the Business Operations Lead and/or other internal stakeholders


Required Competencies:

A minimum of 2 years working experience in animal protein industry (e.g. retail, food service, processing) is essential

Experience in other food related or livestock industries, animal genetics are a strong plus

A Bachelor ́s degree in Biological Science, Food/Animal Science, Agricultural Science or an equivalent discipline is essential, a Master ́s degree would be a plus

Working experience with food traceability systems and with Quality Assurance systems are essential

Working experience in managing projects are desirable

You are strong and fluent in English and German - verbally and written

You are a proficient user of MS Office

You have a full and clean driving license

You are aware of the frequent travel requirements to client sites within Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, France and Ireland)
