The iPSC department at Evotec headquarters in Hamburg is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Your key responsibilities:
Provide disease expertise to identify, develop, and validate new targets for the development of novel treatments in neuroscience
Assume responsibility for matrix leadership and management of project teams, interfacing externally with clients and internally with other project teams
Lead and mentor a group of skilled scientists and their teams, providing strong guidance and expertise in neuroscience, iPSC biology and drug discovery
Guide resource allocation in a dynamic environment meeting business requirements and timelines
Represent Evotec's iPSC drug discovery capabilities internally as well as externally to existing and new collaborators
Drive the preparation and review of scientific as well as target proposals for drug discovery projects in the area of neuroscience
Identify and champion new ideas that contribute to the achievement of business goals as well as the improvement of the human iPSC platform
Lead the development and implementation of new or expanded technical capabilities that will positively impact future collaborators and research projects
Your ideal qualifications:
Ph.

D. in Biology, Medicine, Pharmacology and several years of work experience after PostDoc in Pharmaceutical industry, Biotech, or in a CRO setting

Proven background in human iPSC biology and drug discovery with a track record of contributing to the delivery of preclinical drug discovery projects in neuroscience
High level of disease biology understanding relevant to neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, mental health, pain, epilepsy or other neurological disorders
Demonstrated leadership across functions in drug discovery projects, from target validation to lead optimization phase
Proven line management skills to lead a group of scientists and their laboratory teams
Clear and open communication style to interact effectively across functional, geographic, and cultural boundaries within the company and externally with clients
Dynamic personality with high level of drive, enthusiasm, and commitment and ability to perform well under pressure
Selfstarting ability and capability of working with a wide degree of autonomy and independence
Strong command of the English language both verbal and written; German is advantageous
