Director/Head of Policy and Public Affairs Germany (M/F/d)ROLE SUMMARY
The Director/Head of Policy & Public Affairs Germany is a critical strategic role responsible for leading the Policy & Public Affairs team to shape a policy environment for Germany that puts patients first and rewards innovation.
It is critical to ensuring patients have access to Pfizer's innovative medicines and vaccines, accelerating healthcare transformation, growing Pfizer's reputation in Germany, and ensuring an attractive policy environment for life sciences investment.
This role also serves as the Corporate Affairs representative in the Pfizer Germany Country Leadership Team to provide strategic counsel on enabling the growth and vitality of Pfizer Germany's business and reputational interests.
A significant portion of time will be spent representing Pfizer with Germany's policy stakeholders and developing trusted partnerships and networks needed for Pfizer to deliver on our purpose.
QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum 10 years' experience in German public policy, government relations, public/corporate affairs/ legal affairs, with ideally minimum 5 years' experience in health care.- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective, innovative and practical public affairs and policy plans that deliver results.- Strong executive presence and interpersonal acumen, highly substantive and collaborative.- Strong people management experience that fosters engagement and empowers performance.- Highly networked, including with government and key stakeholders, with an outstanding ability to develop relationships with key constituencies.- Demonstrated leadership experience managing high profile issues.- Fluency in German and English with excellent oral and written communications skills- Well organized, motivated, creative and analytical problem solver- Ability to build and support high-performing matrixed teams, providing an inclusive environment with clear and decisive direction and focus.- Education: Bachelor's degree required, and advanced degree preferred ideally in law, business, public health, or international policy.
