About the Role

  • As the International Industrial Development Lead for Lockheed Martin, They will be an integral part of the Global Business Development and Strategy across Spain, Italy, Greece, and Germany. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Industrial Partnerships, the role demands a comprehensive understanding of industrial development, including industrial participation, offsets, and countertrade arrangements. The expertise is pivotal in fostering robust customer relationships, in alignment with the Business Area leadership, ensuring the success of all LM Industrial Development initiatives within these countries.
  • Design and develops recommendations to strategically enhance the corporation's international growth objectives including expertly activating new business opportunities; leveraging extensive knowledge and ingenuity for complex problem solving to deliver state of the art solutions and desired results.
  • Provide liaison for Business Areas with all industrial partners, industrial authorities, industries/businesses and various business councils. Establish and maintain key relationships among key business, military and academic leaders and senior country officials.
  • Ability to engage senior leadership and key decisionmakers with LM business opportunities; demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leadership and key decisionmakers; demonstrated ability to share information and to coordinate with Corporate and Business Areas.
  • Act with prior consultation, coordination, and communication among Business Area Industrial Development leadership to further One LM business industrial strategies/objectives and enable most favourable policy/regulatory environment and most efficient discharge of industrial obligations; ensures complete coordination with Business Areas prior to incountry engagements/messaging.


Another integral part of the role would be presenting and proposing LM corporate and business area industrial initiatives and projects to country senior leadership team, this is to obtain strong buy in on the projects and deliver the results.

For this role you need to conduct business in strict compliance with all corporate and company command media and within applicable state and federal, international laws and regulations.


Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • 10+ years of Industrial Participation or business development experience.
  • International business experience with knowledge of international cultures and customs; prior experience in Spain, Italy, Greece and Germany is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of European industrial development programs/policies, including familiarity with required supporting activities such as sight surveys, contractors' oversight, agreement negotiations and postperformance reporting.
  • Demonstrated customer relations skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills necessary to clearly communicate with multiple levels of business, government, and LM leadership.
  • Team Player demonstrated ability and effectiveness at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives
  • Ability to understand and interpret international customers' needs and requirements and communicate them back to Business Areas.
  • A willingness to travel worldwide without restriction. Must be able to operate and thrive in a fastpaced international environment. Must be selfmotivated and able to operate with mínimal guidance and succeed in a highly competitive arena.
