Job description:
Your team

Based in Frankfurt, you will report to the Group Chief Credit Officer (Group CCO) and join the Credit Risk Assessment team (the Group's second line of defence - L2), part of Pictet's Group Risk department.

You will also interact with many stakeholders across the Group, including Tax, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Cross-Border, Trading Services, and managers within the business lines (Wealth Management and Asset Services).

Your role

You will be responsible for sanctioning credit requests submitted by Pictet's business lines for their clients, by either:

  • validating, together with a Business Line Credit Approver (L1), "standard" credit requests within thresholds defined by the relevant Management Committees of each bank of the Pictet Group.
- assessing "non-standard" credit requests prepared by the L1 Credit Structuring teams and pre-approved by the business lines before their presentation to the Pictet Partners and the relevant Credit Committees.

You will carry out "control testing" reviews of Pictet's book of standard credits validated by L1 Business Line Credit Approvers.

You might be asked to perform specific tasks at the request of the Group CCO and under his supervision, on:

  • credit policy and directives;
- credit process training intended for Risk and business line colleagues;
- specific credit risk-related projects linked to risk mitigation techniques and systems; and
- regulatory issues, audits, supervisory inspections, etc.

Profile:

  • Solid experience in the field of credit activities for wealth management and institutional clients. Previous corporate credit experience a plus.
  • Decisionmaking skills: (i) proven capacity to form relevant opinions on complex requests; (ii) ability to negotiate solutions that will strike a balance between business development and preserving Pictet's superior financial strength.
  • Strong analytical skills that enable you to assess complex estate structures with multiple beneficiaries across several jurisdictions.
  • Relevant knowledge of legal, compliance, tax and crossborder environments in the EU and the UK.
  • Substantial expertise in global financial markets across all investible financial asset classes.
  • Knowledge of investment products, particularly in FX and derivatives (Margin Man).
  • Knowledge of Avaloq would be a plus.
  • German mother tongue, fluent in English, with proficiency in French a plus. Good writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to supervise and perform creditrelated general administrative and reporting duties.

As part of a small, global and highly skilled team, you are conscientious, proactive, transparent and a strong team player.

You are able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and take the necessary initiatives to complete the assignments entrusted to you.

You show a strong ability to find and share new ideas to strengthen Pictet's credit business.
You must be autonomous, with good organisational skills and be able to prioritise conflicting requests tactfully.

Note
We will not accept any CVs via agencies.
