We are looking for a self-starting, resourceful, enterprising reporter to cover Germany's most consequential technology and telecom companies.

This role can be based out of Berlin, Frankfurt or Munich.

We'll trust you to**:

Break highprofile, marketmoving news on the investments, deals and strategies of industry giants such as SAP, the largest software company outside of the US; and the chipmaking giant Infineon.
Track the broader chip and software industries across Europe;
Chase scoops on Germany's dynamic startup scene, including the eyewatering valuations of AI companies such as Aleph Alpha and the headwinds of delivery companies including Delivery Hero.
Pitch and execute on highimpact enterprise and investigations into these companies, their cultures and their human impact.
Possess the writing, reporting and sourcing skills to deliver longerform projects that deepen our readers' understanding of these industries, hold them accountable, advance conversations and effect change.

You'll need to have:

A strong ability to develop deep networks of sources that will allow you to break big stories that Bloomberg readers care about.
A proven record of producing highquality, highimpact enterprise.
The ability to write copy that is clear, succinct, focused and well organized.
The ability to work quickly under deadline pressure and contribute to a range of platforms, including the Bloomberg Terminal, the web, Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg TV and podcasts.
Strong collaboration skills and an eagerness to work with other reporters in our global technology group and other colleagues across teams and platforms.
A proficiency in German and English.
A commitment to the idea that journalism can and should hold the powerful to account.
