As a member of our corporate Business Intelligence (BI) Administration team in Hamburg you will operate the BI platforms Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects WebI for a growing community with well over active users in 100 countries.

Your Role :You will provide excellent technical support for a highly available and scalable IT BI landscape for the BI developers and the internal and external end users.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Operation and maintenance of multiple enterprisewide, complex BI environments
  • Ensure security, performance, and availability of supported systems
  • Incident management and problem management
  • Installation and configuration of Tableau Server, SAP BusinessObjects WebI platform, and server extensions
  • Test and deploy new software releases and service packs
  • Evaluation and test of new product functions
  • Analysis of system utilization, automation of system monitoring, capacity planning
  • Documentation
  • User Help Desk (2nd / 3rd level support)
  • Troubleshooting
  • Provide guidance and best practices on how to build solutions on the BI platform
  • Support users in case of complicated report design questions
  • User, access rights and content management
  • Participation in 24/7 oncall standby support for priority 1 incidents

Your Skills and Experiences:


  • Bachelor's or master degree in computer science or comparable professional experience
  • Experience with the system administration of BI systems, ideally Tableau Server or SAP BusinessObjects
  • Basic ITIL knowledge
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Tomcat Application Server knowledge
  • Good knowledge in Unix/Linux shell scripting
  • Knowledge in Windows Server
  • Strong communication skills, customer orientation
  • Flexible, able to work under pressure, teamoriented
  • Excellent analytical capabilities
  • High level of written and spoken English to work in an international team
