• Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We're doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

In this position, you will assess business expenses, assist in preparing optimized budget plans, and analyze complex financial records and reports.

You will also oversee accounting operations, including the regulation and authentication of financial transactions, in addition to maintaining a ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks.

• You will work in the daytoday accounting of our German subsidiary Redux and support the European subsidiaries.
• Preparing financial reports and recommendations for management and operational areas.
• Performing monthly, quarterly and year end closing, including accrual entries and financial statement preparation.
• Together with our tax advisor, you will prepare the advance VAT return
• General commercial administration work (data maintenance, document management)
• Documenting policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility with a focus on internal controls.
• Researching complex transactions.
• Reviewing budget to actual for costing and project systems activities.
• Assisting with the external audit process.
• Maintenance of data in our enterprise accounting system, including monitoring and updating available capital funding.
• Preparing journal entries and complex calculations.
• Meeting all financial reporting deadlines.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Communicating with payroll accounting, authorities and departments and create evaluations, statistics and reports

• 2+ years increasingly complex experience in International Accounting Standards

• Professional Proficiency in both German and English (level B2 and above).
• Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with MS Excel, Oracle and/or SAP.
• Comfortable rollingup sleeves and work with team members handson.
