Research Assistant (M/F/d)

The Bioanalytical Chemistry Division in the Department of Biology/Chemistry at the University of Osnabrück is seeking to appoint a
Research Assistant to commence work at the earliest possible date.

The position is limited for three years.

Your duties:

Participation in research within a third-party funded project supported by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation:

Identification of a small subunit of ceramide synthase from mammals
Overexpression and purification of ceramide synthases from mammalian cells
Electron microscopic structural analysis of purified protein complexes
Structureguided mutation analysis of ceramide synthases

Requirements:

High motivation
Biochemical knowledge for protein purification
Initial knowledge of electron microscopic structural analysis of protein complexes
Proficiency in sphingolipid analysis
Good English skills and willingness to collaborate in an international team
