Essential Job Functions

  • Develops and maintains relationships with key clients and key suppliers.
  • Responds to external and internal client inquiries.
  • Performs operational functions to include resolving concerns and issues surrounding coordination and execution of any and all export transportation needs for the station/region.
  • Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
  • Prepares documents necessary to complete export, import and customs clearance process.
  • Seek the most profitable mode of shipment yet meet client's requirement for the movement of freight.
  • Makes recommendations to reduce costs and maximize profitability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking. Some light lifting may be required in some instances.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the Import/Export industry preferred.
- interpersonal skills necessary to communicate (verbally and intuitively) effectively with both clients and internal personnel.

  • The ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Must be careeroriented, hardworking, quick learner and have excellent recall for past events/situations/numbers.
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers Education and Experience

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years related experience.
  • At least one year industry experience preferred.
