Internal Audit assists Deutsche Börse Group (DBG) in achieving its objectives by supporting a standard of excellence in all of the organisation's business, information technology and related functions.


Internal Audit Deutsche Börse AG (DBAG) is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for supporting and managing the Internal Audit Oversight within the Deutsche Börse Group.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the subsidiaries' internal audit functions, ensuring compliance with minimum standards and implementing efficient cooperation.

You will collaborate with teams across the business and senior management to drive continuous improvement in our audit methodology.


Your responsibilities:


  • Support the development of minimum requirements for the governance, methodology, and reporting of DBG's Internal Audit functions
  • Establish measure to oversee the adherence of defined minimum requirements
  • Collaborate regularly with the subsidiaries Internal Audit function representatives
  • Support the set up and further development of Internal Audit functions within DBG
  • Independent preparation and execution of riskbased audits on subsidiaries of DBAG
  • Followup of audits and recommendations
  • Serve as the DBAG internal audit insourcing business partner for the administrative and organizational management of the service relationships with intragroup companies
  • Preparation of periodic and adhoc reporting, i.e., audit data extraction, statistics generation, audit data analysis, for presentations to management and other stakeholders
  • Support in the periodic reporting to the Executive Management and Senior Management
  • Shaping the audit methodology, subsidiary auditing coverage, audit universe as well as audit planning

Your profile:


  • University degree in economics, finance or banking, internal/external audit or legal qualifications
  • Minimum five years of professional experience: practical audit experience, preferably in the banking sector
  • Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and control frameworks
  • High analytical skills, methodical knowhow and conceptual understanding, e.g., processes in banking and/or IT organizations, management and projects
  • Initiative, independent and goaloriented working style
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational talent, ability to work under pressure, assertiveness, communication style in line with seniority with a focus on clarity and integrity
  • High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English; German is an advantage
