Our Data Analytics team wants to unleash the hidden power of data within the central financing organisation of Siemens AG.

Here we provide advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions addressing the action fields of treasury, trade finance, insurance and pensions.

As a Financial Data Scientist, you will:

You will perform strategic data analysis in support of business processes and discuss the results with team leaders and internal customers
In this position, you will process large volumes of sophisticated data from various sources and generate relevant insights
The support in conducting workshops with customers and corresponding documentation (mockups, use cases, task flows, prototypes, etc.) is also part of your responsibilities
Together with the IT department, you will support the creation and operationalization of predictive models within a DevOps approach

What you need to make real what matters.

The basis is a master's degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, engineering or a similar quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
You have first experience with statistical software and scripting languages (e.g., Python)
Ideally, you have knowledge of working with IT on platforms implementations (e.g. MS Azure, relevant APIs)
Experience in analyzing and modeling datasets, with statistical and machine learning methods, is what you propose
You are proficient in data management systems (e.g. SQL, Oracle) and knowledge of some areas of SW development (e.g. AngularJS, JavaScript) would be an advantage
Moreover, you have the ability to handle projects with different collaborators and communicate technical concepts in simple terms to present them to a nontechnical audience
Expertise in corporate treasury and trade finance is helpful
Proficiency in written and spoken English is required, good German language skills would be a plus
