About the job

We are looking for an experienced Export Control & Customs Specialist within the O&M Supply Chain department. This is part of Integrated Operations for our Business Unit Offshore Wind. You might be in a similar job and looking for a broader responsibility in a larger international company.

The Export Control & Customs Specialist reports to the Manager of Export Control & Customs and works as part of the Supply Chain team and performs various tasks, including being functionally responsible for export control and compliance in the different customs procedures.

The scope of work will be for various parts of the assets in all offshore wind farms in Vattenfall, such as but not limited to:

Overall export control of the materials and ensure customs compliance in the different activities in the business
Support colleagues in customsrelated topics in the different wind parks within the BU Offshore Wind

The Export Control & Customs Specialist ensures that we have full compliance with customs-related activities in Vattenfall, perform all export control procedures, and be a key player in planning, implementing and following up strategies and activities relevant to customs Compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

As Export Control & Customs Specialist in Supply Chain, you will have the following key responsibilities:

Execution of customs and export control-related tasks
Contact person for questions in the field of foreign trade and customs within the BU Offshore Wind
Contact the customs authorities when needed
Coordinating customs clearance for export/import through customs agent (Direct Import representation)
Assist with commodity classification
Supporting the Export Control & Customs Manager (ECM) in the field of process development, customs documentation, improvement initiatives, audits, training, etc.
Responsible for Export Control measures like e.g. embargo checks, sanction list screening and goods checks (Dual-Use, US-Reexport, etc.)
Maintaining compliance with EU and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products

Location

The location for the position is either Kolding or Esbjerg in Denmark.

Profile:

As an Export Control & Customs Specialist in Supply Chain, you have +5 years of relevant experience from a similar job, preferably from the wind industry, and hold the following qualifications:

Completed studies in business administration, commercial law, logistics or a comparable qualification
Documented experience with setting up and managing customs activities
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and processes
Strong knowledge of International Trade, Customs, Trade Compliance and Tariff Classification
Knowledge of developing customs and compliance procedures
Proven understanding of the EU/UK and US export control regulation
Experience with Incoterms
Experience with MS Office and Windows
Experience with SAP can be an advantage
Fluency in English and preferably also Danish
