Procurement Manager Onboard D&IS DACH (M/F/d)

Mannheim, Germany


Purpose of the job:

As a Procurement Manager D&IS DACH you are the sourcing representative of the Site as member of the

Site Management Committee:

you relay to Sourcing/Site any information or decision that could impact respective activities such as organisational changes, supplier difficulties, local/central instructions, Make or Buy decisions.

Moreover, you act as a facilitator between Sourcing Function and Site operational members and are the Sourcing accountable for Project execution and Tender commitment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage headcount and staffing
  • Manage local sourcing team in close link with central sourcing (CM, PLSD, Domain Director, Methods & Tools)
  • Monitor local sourcing team workload and process to arbitration
  • Develop team competences
  • Support, challenge and validate Sourcing commitments for Local Commodities
  • Support local sourcing team to face commercial and contractual negotiation during project execution phase
  • Track sourcing performance in project and issue action plan in case of deviation
  • Support supply chain to monitor and secure raw material inventory and OTIF objectives
  • Support accounting department to align on invoice accounting and payable days

Qualifications:


  • Business School and Master in Purchasing
  • Team Leader Experience
  • Min. 5 years of experience in sourcing, project and operation
  • Sourcing professional background
  • Strong management experience of large multicultural team
  • Fluent English and German
