At Evotec's headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the RNA biology team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Research Assistant (f/m/d)

RNA biology Team

2-year and full-time

to join our team and contribute to our collaborative drug discovery projects.

Your key responsibilities:

Participate in the implementation and execution of technologies required to study interactions between and RNA and a ligand (e.g. small molecules) or required to study functional roles of RNA structural elements.
Collaborative development and execution of experimental plans attempting the establishment of novel technologies as well as independent execution of established technologies according to rigid SOP's.
Support the scientific projects with high attention to details and proactive communication
Consistently provide highquality data and document results

Your ideal qualifications:

Successfully completed apprenticeship (BTA/CTA/MTA) or bachelor studies in the field of biological sciences, alternatively, a master's degree in a relevant discipline with proven experimental expertise
Background and handson experience in RNArelated, molecular biology techniques (RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, invitro transcription and RNA production, invitro translation or next generation sequencing) or biochemical techniques (FPLC/HPLC chromatography, electrophoresis, gelshift assay, thermal shift assay).
Experience with eukaryotic cell culture and generation of cell lines generation (Transfection, CRISPR-CAS9) would be an advantage but is not required.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and to work successfully under pressure to tight timelines.
Selfstarter and flexible team player and communication skills in English
