Your Role:
Promote and implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in the Product Generation and Solution Process (PSGP) and other products and processes to reduce overall quality costs and ensure a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle.
Project management according to the DMAIC method for continuous improvement projects within global quality / EHS, for the purpose of increasing customer satisfaction, increasing efficiency and/or reducing NQE's (None Quality Expenses):
- Define project and create project order: Customer requirements (Voice of Customer), problem description, profit determination and goal formulation, team composition, project plan and milestones
- Understanding the process and evaluating performance: Process Mapping, Cause & Effect-Matrix, Process KPI and process capability; Test equipment capability (Gage R&R); Basics of statistics and statistics software Minitab, TrendMiner an advantage
- Analyze the process and determine significant parameters: Ishikawa and Multi-Vari Diagram, Statistical Test & Analysis Methods (ANOVA, etc.), Correlation / Regression
- Improve the process
- determine optimal settings and procedures: Design of Experiments (DOE), Selected Lean Methods and Tools
- Project Phase Control
- Ensure improvements permanently: Statistical process control and response plans, successful completion of projects and sustainable implementation of procedures
- Advertise, facilitate and implement quality planning tools and methods in the PSGP and other projects and processes using related SOPs, standards and other documents
- Coordination and implementation of quality planning activities with all stakeholders (PM, T&I, GPE, Operation, local QM, SQM, Procurement, etc.)
- Participation and/or management of project review meetings and status updates or communication of the current quality level
- Ensure compliance with ZEISS guidelines, manuals, procedures, WI's, relevant norms/ standards, and regulatory requirements in projects
- Ensuring that product quality complies with applicable specifications, supplier agreements, procedures, regulatory requirements for product quality and relevant national standards
- Development and simplification of templates, protocols, test plans, test procedures and reports, coordination of analysis and corrective actions in case of errors in qualification, validation, and implementation
- Strong connection with stakeholders and local quality to ensure that risks in production are considered and mitigated within the development phase. Remaining risks as input for local control plans
- Act as a trainer/coach to enable local teams to work in the PSGP/APQP environment, assist with quality planning tools and processes, and conduct audits as needed
- Further development of the APQP process according to the requirements of standards and interests of the Carl ZEISS vision, taking into account the requirements of PM, RA, global/local quality, GPE and operations
Your Profile:
- Completed engineering studies in the field of manufacturing and production technology with a focus on quality management methods required
- Professional experience of 35 years with a focus on quality is a prerequisite
- A high degree of independence and initiative would be required
- Flexibility, assertiveness, and communication skills are necessary in direct contact with customers and colleagues with the same overall objectives and different interests
- Certified lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO auditor training for VDA 6.3 is an advantage
- Project management according to the DMAIC method
- Six Sigma Green Belt Level advantageous, Six Sigma Yellow Belt required.
- Safe handling of APQP tools QFD, D/PFMEA, PFD, CP required
- Safe handling of MS Office (e.g., MS Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and SharePoint are required
- Fluent German and very good knowledge of written and spoken English
