A Snapshot of Your Day


You are responsible for the qualification and the support of manufacturing processes (conventional machining, EDM, Drilling, Coating (HVOF and APS), Assembly) for turbine blades at internal and external supplier.

This includes the planning and realization of process qualifications, the coordination of design boundaries and the tracking of general requirements and project targets.

You are as well responsible for due-dates, quality, fault management, the approval of development results and the technical support of the supplier in the serial production.


You are point of contact concerning technical supplier issues or questions and support the engineering regarding Design for Manufacturing, evaluation of machining results and processes and the identification of potential for improvement.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Contribution to decarbonization by increasing the efficiency of our GT parts
  • Responsible for product and process qualifications for hot gas components made of superalloys
  • Implement new design features by actively working on the technology roadmap and initiating feasibility studies and technology developments
  • Supervision of series production and process improvement projects
  • Take part in the supplier selection process, prepare requests for quotations and evaluate supplier quotations technically

What You Bring

  • Master's degree in engineering, process engineering, design or comparable
  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and have longtime years of professional experience in the areas of production technology, project and supplier management
  • Previous experience at the interfaces between R&D, engineering, manufacturing and quality management in an international environment
  • Ideally, experience with turbine hot gas parts in the field of manufacturing technology and quality management
  • Indepth knowledge in the field of statistical process analysis, project planning and the use of appropriate software (e.g. Minitab, MS Projekt) needed
  • Capability of scientific working (selfmotivation, systematic planning, and evaluation of experiments)
  • Bias for action creativity

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
