Who we are?:

The water treatment unit of Fresenius Medical Care is based in Sailauf, close to Aschaffenburg and the Rhein-Main region. It leads innovation in dialysis turn-key solutions. Its focus is on water treatment operations in dialysis clinics. In particular, it delivers tailored solutions for field preparation of dialysis water and concentrate supply.

As a partner for our customers, the company advises and assists throughout the lifecycle from planning and development to production, installation, qualification, and maintenance within the following areas

Water supply for hemodialysis treatments
Mixing and distribution systems for dialysis concentrates
Monitoring devices (e.g. leakages, water quality).

Your assignments:

The position encompasses responsibility for the development of a new product generation. This needs to be accompanied by the introduction of a platform concept.

To forster the global collaboration between different local development teams for water & concentrate supply solution worldwide will also be a key success factor.

To effectively address these main focal points, the position will benefit from the previous incumbent's experience in the field of water treatment and medical technology.

The position reports to the Vice President Vale Stream Water Treatment & Concentrates, Trading goods and Services.

Specifically, Fresenius Medical Care is seeking the Head of Development Water Treatment and Concentrates to comprehend and build this role on the following directions:

Integrate, transform and lead global R&D and engineering teams into one motivated and highly empowered organization
Lead and develop simultaneous engineering and scalable platform architecture
Implement SAFe work methodology
Provide regular releases of updated/new products according to portfolio strategy (with agreed scope and at the right quality, budget and time)
Establish industry leadership in innovation, leadtime, quality and cost performance
Ensure compliance with requirements in terms of legal and regulatory standards and technology directives
Be accountable for budget planning and budget accuracy
Maintain and nurture the external business partner network

Your profile:

Qualifications:

Postgraduate degree in engineering or science, preferably with sound medical product knowledge

Extensive knowledge and experience in the following:

Scalable platform design, simultaneous engineering, cross-functional leadership and execution in close alignment with global production sites

- (Medical)-product development and associated engineering areas such as mechanics, electronics or software and the related regulatory requirements

Establish and lead a global development group
Execution of organizational transformations within an international, crossfunctional environment
