Within the Global Marketing department of B.

Braun Avitum AG, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Director (f/m/d) Global Marketing Core Consumables at our corporate headquarter in Melsungen, Germany.


The Director role is multifaceted, with no two days looking the same You will leverage your experience to drive growth across the renal consumable portfolio including bloodlines, concentrates, vascular access and dialyzers & filters through developing & implementing ambitious marketing strategies.

We are a dedicated team driven to help patients receive the best possible treatment outcome.

We are looking for a like-minded individual who will help to further grow the core consumable strategy in the established chronic renal care market.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • You are responsible for an international team of four global product managers, all based in Melsungen.
  • You develop, implement and lead the global marketing strategy for the entire chronic core consumables portfolio.
  • You ensure a proper product lifecycle management based on marketing planning.
  • Considering and including all product lines of the renal portfolio into one system in close cooperation with the other marketing teams to ensure the overarching system concept is another main responsibility.
  • You establish a clear vision and positioning for our products and solutions and articulate the value propositions to the customers clearly.
  • As Director (w/m/d) Global Marketing Core Consumables you manage the ongoing process of synthesizing and prioritizing requirements for the roadmaps to ensure that they remain relevant and add value for customers.
  • The definition and implementation of comprehensive product launches based on strategical business objectives belong to your area of responsibility.
  • You act as a mentor, having or developing excellent leadership skills and the ability to guide and inspire the team members.

Professional competencies:


  • You possess a university degree in business administration, alternatively natural sciences or engineering sciences with corresponding additional qualification in marketing.
  • You dispose longstanding (minimum five years) professional experience in marketing as well as strategy development in the medical device industry with proven track record in implementing marketing concepts and/ or managing complex product portfolios.
  • You have first experiences in leading teams or projects
  • You speak and write English fluently, which is essential for the communication within the international teams as well as with colleagues from local country organizations.
  • German language skills are of advantage.

Personal competencies:


  • You have a very strong ability to motivate and inspire intercultural teams within a distinct matric organization.
  • You show strong commercial expertise, and you are passionate about customer focus with track record of identifying new insights and translating them into successful strategies.
  • You are a strategic thinker with strong communication skills not neglecting a required handson mentality also arising for operational topics
  • You strive for international activities and international cooperation. The travel activity in this role is approx. about %.
