Contract:full-time (40 h / week), initially fixed-term for 2 years followed by the option of a subsequent employment contract with an infinite duration

  • The Head of Facility Management is responsible for our facilities including managing the planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery and buildings. The holder of this position plans, budgets and schedules facility tasks. S/he ensures both daily operational facility functions and the execution of longterm objective and projects. The Head of Facility Management works closely together with the Commercial Director and all sections of the school.

Your tasks and responsibilities:


  • Oversight of thirdparty and internal facilities services
  • Oversight and, as appropriate, direct regulation of requests for maintenance, repair, cleaning, improvements, renovations etc.
  • Oversight of maintenance cycles including documentation of results and coordination of necessary followup work
  • Key participation in the schools Health & Safety Committee to ensure a safe work environment as well as emergency evacuations.
  • Active coordination of campus opening hours, traffic flow, etc.
  • Participation in room use planning; ensuring proper of fitting of instructional spaces across the school; standardization of a catalogue for classroom fittings
  • Maintenance of technical resources of the school in good working order
  • Action as a role model in treating school resources with respect
  • Responsibility for facility related cost planning, forecasting and effective spending
  • Leading a team of janitorial staff and the facility assistant
  • Working closely with managing directors as well as respective other functional administrative staff
  • Administration of the budget for facility management

Your profile:


  • Degree in Facility Management, Business Administration or similar and proven general Facility Management experience
  • Affinity for and experience in both the work of facilities and functions requiring a high level of communication and technical understanding
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking combined with experience in project management and time management
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluent command of the English and German languages, both written and spoken
  • Strategic way of thinking in an international working environment, result orientation
  • A handson mentality and strong initiative
  • High sense of responsibility, reliability, handson approach, high level of motivation and team orientation
  • Strong communication skills, empathy as well as a confident manner and absolute integrity and discretion as well as intercultural competence
  • Initiative, ability to work under pressure and commitment and enjoy challenges
