YOUR TASKS
The two positions are part of a joint industry project with four partners. All research positions aim at simulationbased optimization of industrial flows using the adjoint method.

YOUR PROFILE

Excellent Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably Theoretical Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture, Industrial/Applied Mathematics or Scientific Computing.
Position 1:

Clear focus on computational fluid dynamics using finite-volume methods and fluid dynamic optimization approaches. Experience in industrial CFD is an asset.

Position 2:

Clear focus on computational fluid dynamics using finite-volume methods and data-based models. Experience in industrial CFD is an asset.

Background and knowledge of High-Performance Computing methods in CSE; sound background in physics of fluids; proven background in different programming paradigms.
Excellent communication as well as proven language capabilities and team working skills. Applicants must be able to communicate fluently in English, in oral and written form.
Experience in the use of HPCsystems, coding competencies in FORTRAN, PYTHON, C or C++.
