Log4Chem is the leading provider of 4th party logistics solutions, acting exclusively for the European chemical industry.

We do not operate our own transport assets, this gives us independence and neutrality in designing, implementing, coordinating and managing the optimal transport solution for each customer.

For our further organic growth, we are looking for you to lead our operations team:

Your six team members plan, coordinate and monitor out customers' shipments until they reach their destination with passion and commitment down to the smallest detail.

JOB ROLE IN DETAIL

What you achieve for us:


  • You take responsibility for the smooth running of our customer service and transport planning, control and monitoring.
  • You support your team daily in operational work and customer contact.
  • You integrate measures for the management, analysis and optimisation of work processes and design efficient operational procedures.
  • You are the contact person for your team, who discuss ongoing tasks, difficulties and solutions with you.
  • You take part in customer calls and act in close exchange with the branch manager.
  • Your work and your input support us in the development of key accounts and in the expansion of our longterm customer relationships.
  • You enable your team to work excellently and achieve optimal results.
  • You contribute your commercial knowhow to special projects at top management level.

What you inspire us with:


  • You score with excellence in customer service, process optimisation and communication ⎻ and have already proven this extensively in your professional career.
  • Thanks to your academic background, you are ideally familiar with logistics and supply chain management, but at least with commercial processes and key metrics.
  • You set the right priorities and have outstanding organisational and communication skills.
  • You have initial management experience or in the operational control of teams or of projects.
  • You have experience with various software systems, especially MS Office, and consider yourself an expert in MS Excel.
  • You are an allrounder and team player with an open ear for your team.
  • You are resultoriented and like to take the initiative.
  • We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English and German, as well as your passion for sales, service, support, quality ⎻ and your enjoyment of challenges.
