    We are seeking a Finance Manager to become a key member ofthe EMEA Accounting team, located in our Munich office.

    The rolehas responsibility for aspects of the controllership and accountingfunction in support of the EMEA operations. The accounting flowsare operated in multiple legal entities with involvement of anumber of stakeholders in different locations.

    This position willbe focused on supporting the launches of some of Amazon's newestglobal business initiatives and the automation of underlyingprocesses.

    This leader will work closely with the global financialsystems teams, accounting operations teams, tax and others andrepresent the accounting organization to various stakeholders in aportfolio of projects.

    The position will require partnering withoperational accounting and business finance groups in developingstrategic solutions to support our high growth rate through launchmethodology design and training, creation of accounting tools usedto support new launches and design inputs to longer-term platformdevelopment.


    Candidates will work in afast-paced environment, manage through ambiguity and complexitywhilst supporting multiple, simultaneous project launches impactingthe global accounting organization.

    This position is expected tohave sufficient finance/accounting experience to help the newbusiness launch team identify and incorporate necessary financialreporting, have a solid understanding of computing systeminteraction and can identify internal control elements into systemsor tools to support new business activities.

    This role requiresexcellent communication and organization skills, including theability to anticipate, identify and communicate risks to seniorleadership.


    This position is office-based,with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week inline with Amazon's current flexible work guidance.

    Key jobresponsibilities

    • Work independently to lead and provideAccounting project support to Amazon's business and developmentteams with the design of new products or offerings and set-up offinancial systems to ensure appropriate business support andcontrollership.
    • Deliver complex cross functionalprojects
    • Identify and communicate project risks tosenior leadership, along with clear recommendations for resolutionor mitigation.
    • Direct responsibility and ownership inexecuting large scale process improvement opportunities within newbusiness launches and existing processes and controls, includingdefining scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with seniorleadership and stakeholders.
    • Identify, develop andtransition new processes to support month-end general ledger closeactivities, monthly account reconciliations and reviews, andpreparation of various deliverables to support both internal andexternal financial reporting needs.
    • Coordination withthe global accounting teams to establish and maintain strongcommunication channels.
    • Monitor quality of newautomated accounting entries, financial reporting processes andcontrols to ensure highest standards aremaintained.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - ACCA, ACA,and CIMA or similar credentials

    • Relevant accountingexperience (public accounting /industry mixpreferred)

    • Demonstratedability participating in milestone driven projects
    • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communicationskills
    • Solid organizational, project management skills,and information technology aptitude
