We are looking for an Actuarial Expert to assist with process development, based in Munich or Hamburg.


Your Team


Reporting to the Head of Process Development, you will be part of a special cross-functional agile Project Team which focusses on preparing, maintaining and improving tools and processes for our Actuarial team worldwide.


The Impact You Will Have


As a key actuarial expert of the project team, you will bring your expertise to play for the designing, testing and enhancing of new and existing processes.

For the most part, this is within a bespoke IT tool called ADP.


You will be at the centre of a cross-functional and international team, interacting with stakeholders from IT, reserving actuaries, Accounting and Finance, having a real impact on our business across the board.


Some of your specific responsibilities could include
Analysing how our actuarial processes can be improved to match ever-changing business requirements:

  • Designing prototypes
  • Documenting your work and requirements, tracking progress
  • Working alongside IT developers to implement the changes and run testing
  • Preparing training documentation and sessions for junior colleagues
  • Present newlydeveloped functionalities to stakeholders, globally and across all key business areas

What You'll Bring to the Role

In addition you:

  • Are familiar with the insurance and reinsurance market, regulatory and compliance standards, reserving techniques etc.
  • Are aware of insurance finance and the complexities of an international insurance company
  • Have quantitative financial and risk modelling skills
  • Are at ease with MS Office, advanced Excel skills
  • Present experience in developing and implementing models and processes.
  • Work well in an international and remote team, at ease in a multicultural context
  • Actuarial certification and membership in a recognised professional society
  • Are able to convey technical information clearly and effectively, adapting to your audience
  • Identify issues and initiate appropriate actions to find solutions
  • Have an excellent command of the English language
